September Music Mix

For 5 years or so I've kept a special September music mix. It began with Fiona Apple and grew from there into a collection of songs with an underlying theme of becoming grounded. School begins and the cold returns. The structure of autumn replaces the freedom of summer. Goals and dreams become a bit too far outta reach or silly, not to mention suddenly risky. I make amends with others and myself. I discover or rediscover my sins and faults. I know it could always be worse and has...September is the calm after the storm. September is lost in thought. September is beautiful.

Fiona Apple - Pale September
Gwen Stefani - Cool
Gary Allan - Songs About Rain
Kanye West - Jesus walks
Breaking Benjamin - So Cold
Chantel Kreviazuk - Surrounded
John Legend - Save Room
Juliette Lewis - Born Bad
Keith Urban - You'll Think of Me
Kelly Clarkston - Because of You
Ozzy - Road to Nowhere
All America Rejects - It Ends Tonight
