Gatlinburg, Tennessee
We also took a day trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee while down south. The Mountains where gorgeous! It was so overwhelming beautiful all we could say was wow, wow, wow over and over again. I didn't know there were so many shades of green.
















We also enjoyed some of the attractions of downtown Gatlinburg, The mirror house was wicked. I've always wanted to go in one.





We spotted a restaurant called Howard’s, so we of course had to eat dinner there. One of the best steak dinners I've even had!








Impressive Ripley's Believe It Or Not attractions..





And my favorite spot in Gatlinburg, Olge’s Broom Shop! Kelly found it when she went (last year?) and I had to go after seeing the beautiful brooms she came home with.

I have to tell you, this is very weird, because I have been talking to my other and my son about wanting to buy land in southeastern Illinois on the border of Kentucky and Tennesee. I kept going on and on about how great it would be and how affordable the land is (compared to Seattle). My son wants us all to buy a big farm and become homesteaders. It's all kind of half teasing, but When I read your blogs and showed the photos to my other this morning, he got that faraway look in his eye :)

OH! I forgot, the broom maker shop is AWESOME! I'd love to visit that place too.

AND look at your beautiful sexy self there in all those photos! You have cute clothes--I need some cute clothes!

Your idea to buy land sounds great. It's such a nice, but often overlooked, area of the US. My grandmother is "near" where you are talking about in southern Indiana, near Louisville Kentucky. It's just beautiful there.

I loved gatlinburg!! I remember seeing the Howards Resturant and thougth of you guys everytime we passed it! I wish we would have stopped and ate there, seeing how we ate just about everywhere else the town. And the scenery is sooo beutiful, makes ya wanna live there!! And how fun is the broom shop!! I love the double and triple brooms!

Loved Gatlinburg when Josh and I went last Fall. We also ate at Howards! You should see the trees when they're all different colors, it's breathtaking!

Though, I'm a bit bummed that I didn't know about the broom shop. :(

Oh well, looks as though you all had a great time!

(And that mirror maze was a ton of fun! As was Ripley's.)

I am soooo in love with those brooms!!!

Not to mention jealous that you got a little vacation with your family. I'd kill to get away even for just a long weekend.
